Created for Work

Work while you work, play while you play.
That is the way to be cheerful all day.
All that you do, do with your might.
Things done by halves are never done right.
One thing each time and that done well
is a very good rule as many can tell.
Moments are useless trifled away; so
work while you work and play while you play.
-- M.A. Stodart

This year, our focus with Emmett is to train him in the joy of hard work. As we do this, we are having him copy some great quotes and verses -- which is hard work in itself for a young boy with boundless energy.

Here he is copying Proverbs 22:29:
"Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men."

And, here is Luke 6:38.

If you have any good Bible verses, quotes, book recommendations or activity ideas that help reinforce and encourage hard work, please send them our way. We are always looking for new material.
