Congratulations to Emmett, Once Again!

Emmett just finished 8th grade math in less than 3 months time!  He asked if he could take a day off from math schoolwork as a reward.  "Um, yes, Emmett my dear, you may."

For those that think I must've worked the poor child to death, let me reassure you that he did very little on a daily basis.  Aleks is a fabulous online math program that doesn't give the student any "busywork" at all, so he had anywhere from 3-10 math problems per day. 

Here he is, alive and well, pleased with his great accomplishment!

Way To Go, Emmett.

Emmett completed his math course.  He was quite excited about it -- until he found out he wasn't done "forever" and that pre-algebra (8th grade) math would be next.  Silly kid. 

Congratulations, Emmett, on a job well done. 

Celebrating Simeon's Success

Although Simeon has been daytime potty-trained for the L-O-N-G-E-S-T time, we were having a terrible time with him staying dry overnight.  It was getting to be a super big hassle with accidents and wet pajamas almost nightly.  Unable to keep up with the laundry, we decided to get serious about training and got him an electronic sensor that would wake him at the first sign of wetness!  It was amazing how quickly it worked, and now our little guy is staying dry!
